This study aims to analyze the role of the Working Team for Peatland Ecosystem Protection and Management (TK-PPEG) in implementing hydroponic lettuce cultivation as a form of peatland revitalization in Bantayan Baru Village, Batu Hampar District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The primary informants consist of TK-PPEG management, community facilitators, and hydroponic lettuce farmers involved in the program. The results indicate that TK-PPEG plays a strategic role across four key aspects: inter-organizational tasks, resource tasks, service tasks, and extra-organizational tasks. The implementation of hydroponics has proven effective as a sustainable agricultural innovation on peatlands, as it enhances productivity and reduces dependence on soil media susceptible to degradation. This study confirms that the success of peatland revitalization is determined not only by agricultural technology but also by the presence of local institutions that function as facilitators and strengtheners of community participation.
