Implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the healthcare sector is advancing rapidly; however, its success is determined not only by the technical capabilities of algorithms. Healthcare organizations also face challenges related to trust, ethics, regulation, accountability, patient safety, vendor transparency, data protection, and the acceptance of AI by both healthcare professionals and patients. This study aims to examine the role of integrating trust and ethics in addressing the business challenges associated with AI implementation in the healthcare sector. The study employed a literature review using a structured narrative approach and thematic synthesis. The literature was collected from verified scientific journal articles relevant to healthcare AI, trust, ethics, implementation, management, and business challenges published between 2021 and 2026. The findings indicate that trust functions as a relational asset that influences the acceptance of AI among physicians, patients, hospital management, and regulators. Ethics serves as a governance infrastructure to mitigate risks associated with bias, privacy violations, unclear accountability, limited transparency, and organizational resistance. From a management perspective, successful AI implementation in healthcare requires stakeholder engagement, ethical AI governance, institutional compliance, change management, AI literacy, vendor due diligence, and socio-technical integration. This review concludes that the integration of trust and ethics is a strategic prerequisite for ensuring that healthcare AI is accepted, safe, legally compliant, efficient, and sustainable from a business perspective.
